Assessment II

Describe your experiences in working remotely in groups for this course. What worked, what didn't  what challenges did you face, what solutions did you come up with? When you consider developing group activities in Distance Learning g (DL) environments, what issues/concerns do you anticipate with respect to assessment of group work?

I enjoy working in group and  the hangout with our group terns very well  it gives me opportunity to learn new technology and   meet many people at the same time and work together from different place.The challenge was to find the right time for all of us to join, it is time consuming because we are not familiar with all the technology that we use and confusion to go trough all the posts and  read them. I think a good organized  plan for the online                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        lesson and a rubric form assessment will help the students keep track on their progress. Teacher should  be sure that all the students are familiar with new technology.

 With my kindergarten kids I'll use my blog and post for them a specific videos, songs or stories to listen to post weekly requirement and progress of the students and communicate with their parents . 

For the assessment of group work I think establish clear goals  for group members by setting rules, combining group assessments, self and peer evaluation will help the student to work together and use the language by reading, recording and repeating.

Mode of communication
the three mode of communications are working together in teaching language process. Teachers should put in their consideration these three mode when designing a lesson .
The three mode  help to engage the students and move them from novice, intermediate and advance they work together to improve language performance.
students in the novice level start with interpretive mode collect information trough listening, writing, talking an
and looking, then they move to the second level a connect with group and share their info and collect more information using search method in their own device and share their understanding. The presentational mode where the students produce the language  showing their knowledge and understanding , make connection and commumication.
I will try to include and focus in my teaching to the 5 CS of communication and what is the purpose behind this communication concidering using the mode of communication and the right devices train my student to use the apps and programs that helps in their projects. Using technologies as Skype, Yammer Google+ and Hangout, voice thread and other materials open an unlimited opportunity for the learners to reach their goal.

I would like today to say some thing about the value connecting with other
it open our eyes and mind to the word around us it facilitate learning and from each other experience, and share ideas. It takes you from a place to another in a very fast way.
I'm using right now Facebook,  the most, Pintrest and twitter but I'm not really active because i feel it is time consuming.I like Diigo and I think that I w ill try it soon.

Distance Learning is becoming very popular these days and is increasing very fast according to the statistic.
'the students prefer the distance learning than face to face because of its flexibility. They can join the course from any place they are not connected geographically to any place, the students can meet other students and communicate with them from all over the world. They can listen to the lecture many times depend on their on their convenience and using all kind of technology to reach their goal. As an k-6 Arabic teacher  I'll try to use the combination, face to face and distance learning to communicate with the parents: sending news letters, activities for the kids to practice, learning games , assessments, field trip pictures, practice reading trough videos and listen to stories. Also I can use distance learning to provide  private lessons for students.
